To maintain the daily operations of the gift shop.
*Opens and closes the gift shop according to procedure.
*Checks logs daily for new entries. Enters new information into the log.
*Greets customers in a helpful, friendly manner.
*Assists customers with their purchases.
*Handles cash transactions. Maintains a bank. Makes cash drop.
*Handles credit card transactions. Obtains and ensures proper authorization.
*Records purchases in cash register.
*Receives, records, and prices gift shop merchandise.
*Maintains the gift shop in a clean, neat, and orderly fashion.
Weekends and holidays often required.
Requires ability to interpret / extract information and / or perform arithmetic functions. May require typing, CRT, record keeping, or word processing. May have need for good communication skills.
Formal Education and Job-Related Experience:
This position requires a minimum formal education of some high school and a minimum of less than six months job-related experience.
